america flight prices.

i had a guy in the car last week.i took him to manchester airport.
he was going to the states using american airlines.
i forget what he told me he paid for his ticket,but i was not impressed at the price. he said they were cheap as no one wants to use american planes after the 9/11.
as i am going to america in 2007,i just did a little research.
i couldnt check aug 2007,but checked aug 2006.
from manchester to new york going out on the 6th aug,returning on the 16thth.
the price was 1059 dollars.
i then tried going from dublin,using the same dates.
the price 590 dollars.
a big difference.
i can fly to dublin from liverpool return for equivelant to 30/40 dollars using ryanair.
i have a;ways said it is worth shopping around.
i am amazed at these different prices.
