Full Moon reprise
Makes me sigh
Such simple beauty
The night bird cries

There is no taking my eyes away
Not a chance that I will
The May Moon radiates the night,
A thousand watts bright
Burns its image into the back of my eyes
Like staring into the yellow orange heat of the hearth fire

No two moons are ever alike
Not in radiance
Nor in the sheer delight of Moon gazing

There is no taking for granted
Not a chance that I will
This May Moon that calls to me softly,
A thousand promises
That beckon me closer
Like my dreams in the after midnight hours before dawn

No two moons ever are the same
When they call us by name
Nor is their message

The moon reflects our hidden soul
The one we keep close
The one we rarely share with any
Only our moon friends
Those ones who know us by our heart
And not our face know who we really are

Full moon reprise
Into the skies
With eyes half hidden
I gaze unbidden
