The GAA Irish DNA

The GAA is the Gaelic Athletic Association, the body organisation that officiates and governs the Irish Sports of Hurling Football Camogie. Set up in 1884, it's aim was to encourage Irish culture through sport and get the people of Ireland to respect their own past.

Across Ireland the GAA is now an intrinsic part of the community and the encouragement for kids to be local heroes is a very noble Irish thing. Presently still totally amateur, though the best of players are as fit as any professional in any game and the skill level especially in hurling leaves most sports looking basic.

This is the tv ad that the GAA had last year for allstars, it has a great ending for the Ladies.
