Picture Books

Location: Ireland

I saw a report there tonight about the popularity of picture books in both North America and mainland Europe.

Is that right that suhc things are all the rage. Are adult comics the in thing? Not adult as in adult (filthy durty stuff) but comic type books for big kids. Folks are writing books with pictures (sketches) on each page.

These type of things are to my knowledge almost unknown in Ireland.

I now understand (I think) what Not Ally meant about the suggestion for such a book about West Cork.

As Homer said to Bart your ideas intigue me I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I woud sit and read 'astounding stories' for hours as a kid, only moving
from a absolute rigid form on the sofa to move the page, eat a sweet or scratch my arse, I could do such a sketch to accompany that to get the image across. no problems
