TROUBLED DAY

Topsey turvey troubled day
Clouds above in a sky of grey
Spring is here but flurrying down
Snow covers roofs and frosts the ground

The daffodils were rather shocked
When in white crystals they were frocked
And apple blossums on the trees
Were trembling with the sudden freeze

And only yesterday, t'was rain
That fell upon my window pane
I know it fell on yers as well
At least as far as I can tell

In Dublin as well as here
The weather has not been quite clear
Until today, the Irish sun shone bright
And 'twas a bit warmer...far from our plight!

A sea apart, our distant shores
And the paths we journey outside our doors
But never are ye far from me
For I hold ye close in my thoughts, ye see

Topsey turvey troubled times
Mother Goose's nursery rhymes
Rain in winter, snow in spring
Such surprises Nature brings
