Irish annual Rose festival Dublin

Some of the best roses in Ireland will be on display in Dublin this weekend. All the variety specimen roses will be on display from shrub roses to the old fashioned Irish tea roses.
The annual Rose Festival is being held at St Anne’s Park in Raheny, Dublin. The annual gardening event, in St Anne’s Rose Garden, features the 27th annual rose trials with rose breeders from around the world competing to win the first prize.
Over the last year and a half, the roses have been assessed by panel of Irish rosarians and horticulturists, before an international panel of experts chose the winning flower.
A variety of other events will be held in the park from 10.30am to 6pm over the weekend, including live music, garden and wildlife talks with Gerry Daly and Eanna Ni Lamhhna, and guided walks.
Sunday is family activity day with children’s entertainment, face painting, puppet and magic shows.
