Irish Bagpipers European champions

The Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band, multi All Ireland Pipe Band Champions, based in Lisburn, Co Antrim, have won the Grade 1 at the weekend's European Pipe Band Championships.
Ballymena's Seven Towers Pipe band took top spot in Grade 2. Annsborough, also from the north of Ireland, won the Grade 3A competition.
The Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band, Were also placed second this year in the All Ireland Pipe Band Champions 2007, held in Newcastle, Co Down. on July 7th. The All Ireland champions were St. Laurence O'Toole Pipe band from Dublin.
