Sceala Irish Craic Forum Discussion:     What was the Purpose and history of the Orange Order in Irel

After viewing the sickening sights of the Orange Order in Belfast on 12th July last.
The question is - What was the Purpose history of the Orange Order in Ireland.

This topic will attempt to highlight the real purpose and history of the Orange order in Ireland.

These pathetic examples of grown men, who are seen encouraging children to abuse others, are child abusers.

Did RTE even show these British nationalist bigots behaving like this. Or does the Irish government continue to be conveniently ignorant. At least one special documentary would have been made by now if Irish republicans behaved like this.
Or if some extreme Irish nationalists behaved like this outside a place of worship.
Questions raised in parliament, arrests made for hate crimes. Were there any complaints at all from Official Ireland?
Has the pro British Norris shrieked a complaint at all?

As a Irish Canadian of mostly Protestant Christian ancestry. I agree with the conclusion about the Orange Order made on this Irish forum.

Loyalists of the British crown. Of the exact same type that fought against American patriots in the American war of Independence.
They lost against America
Ireland must recognize these British nationalists for what they really are.
British Nationalists loyal to the Crown of England.

The Real history of the Orange Order

The Orange Order was invented to discourage enlightenment and create division using terrorism.

Among the Orange orders first actions was the cowardly murder of their own neighbors, the thousands of Irish Protestants of the United Irishmen
.

The Orange Order persecuted and murdered thousands of free thinking Christian Protestants in Ireland around the 1798 period. This is the real history, one the order wants to keep quiet about today.

The Orange order was and is a English Royalist order, it is not for genuine free thinking Christian Protestants, and never was. It is an extremist British nationalist order more in common with the National Front than any genuine Christian group of any kind.
The Orange order is a political British nationalist organization.

In 1795, the Orange Order was founded as an auxiliary military force by the English to counteract the spread of the United Irishmen on the ground.
The Orange order was created by the English authorities to divide the united Irish, they now feared would demand equal rights and liberty for all
.
The invention of the Orange Order in 1795 was to prove particularly useful as it provided the Government with allies who had detailed local knowledge of the activities of their enemies. The brutal disarming of Ulster in 1797, where the United Irish had successfully radicalized both Protestants and Catholics, saw thousands of Catholics driven from counties Antrim, Down and Armagh, and the murder, torture and imprisonment of hundreds of Protestants suspected of United Irish sympathies - carried out by the orange order militia.
