Need I say it any more
And it be finally said enough?
How many ways can it be said and that I’ve tried
And still it seems you do not understand.
I’ve turned myself inside out
Attempts to pour this out so you can see it
Then you brush it aside
The gems of my innermost feelings
Swept in the corner like common dust.

I’m slowly being enlightened by time
And am sure I will need to learn it
Many times more as it seems that I cannot let it go
It is not me but you that stifles the healing of it all
Will you only finally see it and learn
When my coffin hinges
Have finally turned to rust?

Too late.
Your sorrow.
With no one there
To return an embrace of forgiveness.
