IF I COULD LIVE IN IRELAND

If I could live in Ireland
The places I would go
Walk the olde cobblestones of Dublin
Climb the forested Mountains of Wicklow

Take my tea by the fire
In a cottage along the shore
The turf burns warm with welcome
While the ocean sprays my door

Swing myself 'cross to Mayo
Croagh Patrick guards the way
In Knock, say prayers to the Lady
And one for Grace on Clare Island in Clew Bay

Roam the castles of Inishowen
Play fiddle in Donegal
On the Hill at Tara recall the ranks
of proud Irish who stood tall

Dance a set with the dancers from Kerry
Battering hearts, souls, and feet
Explore Wild West Cork at yer own risk
Who knows who - or what - ye might meet

If I could live in Ireland
A most magical space
However to make up one's mind?
How could I choose just one place?

No place as grand as Ireland
For a country made so small
Each bog, every castle and fairy hill
Is a wonderment, one and all...
