Location: Boston

As I sit in the mouth of flowers
whiling away the summer hours
I swim the fields he used to tread
in days of youth, without dread

This young boy from Sam's Cross
Rebel's woe, Irelands' loss
He fought for Freedom of his land
and won the day with his small band

Like Hannibal in days of yore
he shook an empire to the core
But ware the treacheries of man
this bold son of Marianne
With the treaty unleashed a torrent
and knew he signed his death warrant

And so returned, he pledged to follow
to prove to Dev he was not hollow
Alas, a bullet took his life
and plunged us all into strife

Rest, young man. Be at peace
From this life you are release
We pledge our faith, and vow renew
No rest until we're thirty two
