My heart was skipping wildly
as we walked along the path
you had that look about you
so determind and so brave

at last we veered across the bogs
our foot steps sinking down
you offered me a hanky to wipe my feet
so mucky from the ground

youd promised me a crown that day
that comes from ere the land
cant find it any other place
of this you promised true

yellow pink and green it was
entined with rushes stout
you placed it in my hands
and whispered your my queen

we placed it on my head and then
kissed as lovers do
dont forget my dear loved one
my valentine to you .
