The best laid plans
Such well laid plans
Plans of mice
And plans of man
All laid out in nice neat rows
Organized and ready to go

Obsessively compulsively
Such well laid plans mean naught to me
They give me freebie heebie jeebies
Cut me to my knobby kneebies

Hi hey hi ho what do I know?
Near mice and men I dare not go
Let them run their nice manly micely mazes
As the moon goes through its moody phases

Methinks I shall a respite take
From well laid plans and baking cakes
I shall summer away a long vacation
On exotic shores of my imagination

Well laid plans, the best of plans
Patted into place by those who can
I shall instead the higher road
To the Great Unexpected I pledge my Ode
