Sceala Irish Craic Forum Discussion:     U2 Vertigo tour
U2's Vertigo tour which is currently the second highest grossing tour of all time, with the total expected to exceed 377 million dollars, has ended in Honolulu.

U2 played the final date on their 'Vertigo' tour in Hawaii on Saturday night, 9 December. The concert at Honolulu's Aloha Stadium saw the band joined onstage by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready from opening act Pearl Jam and several members of the audience. Armstrong joined U2 for a rendition of the band's charity collaboration with Green Day 'The Saints Are Coming'. Vedder and McCready were the guests for a cover of Neil Young's 'Rockin' in the Free World' while a member of the audience played piano with U2 on 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses'.

U2 manager Paul McGuinness told Billboard.com that the band were planning to release their new album by late 2007.
