The Northern bank robbers are still at large.

Two men arrested and accused of the the £26 million Northern Bank robbery two years ago are found to have no case against them and have had all the charges against them dropped at Belfast Magistrates Court.

Dominic McEvoy, from Kilcoo, Co Down, had been accused of the robbery and with falsely imprisoning a bank official and his wife. But this morning a lawyer for the Public Prosecution Service said the file provided by the police had been carefully studied and that the test for the prosecution had not been made. Charges against a second accused, Martin McAliskey, a 40-year-old salesman from Coalisland, Co Tyrone, were also dropped. He had been accused of withholding information and attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to a white Ford Transit van, alleged to have been used in the bank robbery.
