Sceala Irish Craic Forum Discussion:     Asylum seekers and immigrants in Ireland. Know your rights

Tue Aug 31, 2010

Asylum seekers and immigrants in Ireland all seem to know their rights. Some like to shout about rights, demanding rights. Is this really the sort of behaviour expected from anyone - genuinely fleeing oppression and claiming asylum?

Highest % of immigrants claiming welfare in Ireland
Nigerians and British.
They are claiming welfare in much higher % to population numbers than the national average or other immigrant group.
Immigrants in general are more likely to be claiming welfare.
Over a third in receipt of rent allowance are foreign immigrants!

Proving immigrants in general are not more qualified or harder workers or will do the jobs the Irish will not do!
Or generally or as a rule, add to the economic value of a nation, certainly not without qualification.

Of course individuals and many immigrants are decent and add to the economy and society in general.
Just as of course, (as the statistics from govt offices prove) they are not the rule for all immigrants!

Ireland welcomes workers and those who know this is Ireland, not a version of their country, the country they left of their own choice!

So those on the take, those who think (demand) the Irish change to their ways, those that imagine (demand) the Irish be educated to their ways! do know your rights!
Such Asylum seekers and immigrants in Ireland, please do not forget your number 1 right, and the most important right of all.
Your right to leave Ireland and go home. Or go elsewhere, if they are stupid enough to take you in and pay for your civil disobedience.

Know your rights.
Asylum seekers and immigrants in Ireland. If you don't like it in Ireland. Please leave - for your own sake and Go back home to your better nations who provide better conditions.

No one in Ireland has ever forced you to come here. If you claim anyone has, you should report your human trafficking claim at once.
Nigerian asylum seekers - a fair question.
Is there a direct connection between Ireland and Nigeria?
Has nobody in Irish immigration told you that - Asylum seekers are supposed to claim asylum at their first opportunity. Asylum seekers are not supposed to travel on, pick and choose the softest touch.

Asylum seekers and immigrants in Ireland.
Ireland update.
Ireland is no longer a soft touch, if only because we do not have enough money or jobs for our own native Irish population.
You are too late. Unprecedented numbers of immigrants have soaked up unprecedented levels of social welfare, and they have crashed the Irish system.
You are not going to be generally encouraged or welcome into Ireland for a long time. That is a plain fact, one you may as well know now, before you pick and choose.
The vast majority > 72% of Irish people want to see a reduction in the number of non-Irish immigrants living here.
Source - Irish Times /Behaviour Attitudes opinion poll.
The Irish people do not want the unprecedented number of immigrants already scamming Ireland.

These people have some nerve, saying they are going to resist the law of our land.

If you do not like it, demand to go home at once!
No one in Ireland will stop you.

We are all paying for foreign immigrant fraudsters.
Most welfare fraudsters are foreign immigrants.
Over 20% on the Dole are foreign immigrants.
Over 30% collecting rent welfare are foreign immigrants.
These figures are indisputable facts from the government offices involved.
Take the immigrants out of the equation and Ireland will be fine.
Our free hand outs are so good, they all come here to collect dole and welfare.
This has got to stop, we can not afford to pay for non nationals and we do not want this many here anyway.
Everyone Irish I know is now anti these immigrants, they have taken us for a ride and laughing at us.

She immediately claimed for welfare on arrival!

Curious how foreign immigrants seem to forget exactly how the Irish social welfare systems works, when caught defrauding it.
130,000 euros of fraud just one immigrant woman.

Another so called asylum seeker, a Nigerian woman claimed her life was in danger back home, but was discovered to have been living there for the past four years while claiming 67,000 in payments from the Irish Government.
Inquiries by immigration officials show a significant number of Nigerian nationals are abusing benefit payments such as lone parent, health board, child benefit and rent allowances.
Some are believed to be subletting houses and apartments to other non-nationals.
A large proportion live are coming via the UK and come here across the border to claim welfare benefits.
A special investigation into the details of Nigerian nationals, who made asylum applications here in 2005, has also been carried out. Almost 1,200 names were checked.
In nearly half the cases, some attempt had been made to hide true identity while making asylum claims in Ireland.
More than 500 of the applicants were traced on UK databases, with nearly 380 granted British visas, while others had made an asylum claim in the UK or had valid reasons to stay there while lodging the claims here.
The investigation confirmed anecdotal evidence that Nigerians were using the UK as a gateway to here to make bogus claims and then return to the UK to live openly while reaping State benefits here.

Also uncovered was evidence of substantial abuse of child benefit schemes by Chinese and Romanian nationals.
Men working in the UK are basing their family here for education and health purposes as well as abusing State benefits.
The U.K is the gateway to Ireland for these fraudsters.
